A building that has housed a law firm on 47th Street in Woodside for many years has been sold and development plans are in the works.
The building, located at 45-29 47th St. , has been occupied by the law firm Leavitt & Kerson for decades. The property was sold last year and demolition permits to bulldoze the brick building were filed June 4.
Marc Crawford Leavitt, a partner in the law firm, sold the property on Nov. 2 to Armaan Holdings, a New Hyde Park-company, for $2.4 million, according to City records.
Development plans were filed June 17 for a six-story building, containing 10 units and ground floor retail.
The plan was not approved by the Department of Buildings on June 20. New plans have yet to be filed.

Surprised somebody didn’t try to landmark it.
$493,000 property value, sold for $2.4 million
So they paid $1.5 million more… sounds about right!!!
what rock have you been living under? a semi-detached house easily goes for over 1.5 million or more in sunnyside. 2 million is a bargain for a detached house. did you not bother to check streeteasy for prices before you posted?
Good.
That whole section of 47th was a bit blighted even though it was in the central business area. The ground floor retail is a welcomed change.
