Police Searching for 18-Year-Old Who Slashed Teen With a Knife During a Woodside Drug Deal

Suspect (NYPD) and 69th Street Station (Queenspost)

March 13, 2019 By Meghan Sackman

Police are searching for Jordan Arias, 18, who allegedly tried to rob a 15-year-old at knifepoint in Woodside during a botched drug deal last month.

Police say Arias met the 15-year-old at the 69th Street 7 train subway station in Woodside on Feb. 5 around 8:20 p.m. to sell him a vile of THC oil.

Arias, according to police, allegedly pulled out a knife when the victim would not hand over the drug money. The two struggled with one another before the victim was slashed in the forearm.

Arias allegedly fled the train station in an unknown direction and the victim got in a cab to Elmhurst Hospital where he was treated.

The police do not know where Arias lives.

Anyone with information in regards to this crime is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).

how could we stop this?!

Wow, keeping cannabis illegal really creates a lot of crime. We shouldn’t legalize it though, just complain about the crime.

That’s cause you’re ALWAYS complaining about something. It’s been that way for years. Like the boy who cried wolf.

Should have handed the guy his money. Or shouldn’t have bought the drugs in the first place. Both are a bunch of knuckleheads

I wish the cops would do something about drug deals at this location. It keeps interfering with my ability to partake in the transgender prostitution occurring at the Executive Cafe 69 Bar.

Aug. 19, 2025 By Jessica Militello

In Jackson Heights at 4 p.m. on a Thursday afternoon, Roosevelt Avenue is buzzing with energy as commuters file in and out of subway cars and onto the street and cars and trucks grapple to get down the busy road. The street is filled with rows of shops and restaurants, along with food carts, street vendors and food trucks along the avenue. The almost-but-not-quite the weekend lag leaves hungry commuters faced with another choice to make throughout their day and the array of food truck options in busy areas like Jackson Heights offers customers convenience and delicious food without breaking the bank, two features that can feel vital, particularly with rising costs of living and pressure from inflation.
