Queens residents will have an opportunity to express their displeasure or make suggestions to MTA officials concerning the No. 7 train service.

Jimmy Van Bramer, councilman for District 26, is sponsoring a town hall meeting in Long Island City where residents will be able to speak directly to MTA officials and members of his staff concerning the No. 7 line and transportation issues in general.

The meeting will address immediate concerns–such as Van Bramer’s demand for a shuttle service to-and-from Grand Central during weekend closures– to better notification of disruptions in the first place.

The town hall meeting follows a press conference Van Bramer held with Council Speaker Christine Quinn and Assemblywoman Cathy Nolan last month, where they voiced their concern about how the service interruptions are inconveniencing residents and are hurting small businesses and cultural institutions.

The Town Hall meeting will be held in Long Island City at

Manducati’s Rustica Restaurant, 46-35 Vernon Blvd,

Wednesday, February 17th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
