This should come as great news to the locals who are always complaining about gentrification. Nothing scares hipsters away faster than gunplay.

Dear webmaster – according to your own headline, this incident happened in LIC not Sunnyside. Why are you putting it on the Sunnyside neighborhood blog? You should move it to the LIC blog, which it looks like you manage as well.

Hey, Peter. The location of this club is just across the street from the 33rd St. stop on the 7 line. I’m not 100% sure where the border of Sunnyside and LIC proper happens to be, but a gun fired at 33rd St. can definitely hit Sunnyside.

But… but guns are ILLEGAL in NYC! Noooo ooonnnnee is allooooooowed them.

Gun control laws simply hurt the people that abide the law. Guns are for protection and everyone should have one as a “Carry town is a polite town.”

i agree it would be a deterent like in the cold war with atomic bombs imagine if the soviet union used a atomic bomb would we have been like the only to stop atomic warfare is by getting rid of ours while the soviets still have theres no the reason why we didn’t use atomic weapons is because we both had them so everyone had guns the bad guys would think twice before shooting not knowing if you will fire back meaning most criminals hate cops but you rarely see a bad guy shoot at them why cause they can shoot back also in the south everyone has guns big reason why the mob could never strong arm the south like they did in urban northern cities also aint it weird that northern urban city’s like new york chicao detroit etc.. has more gun violence then the south and we have the strict gun laws while they don’t so this idea of strict gun laws just the law abiding citizens in danger until cops can see the future and be there before it happens i have to be out late hours which very expensive camera equipment if a man with a gun who is a robber would probably shoot me and take my stuff and i don’t have a chance to defend myself meanwhile I’m the non violent law abiding citizen who pays taxes and the bad guy has a known violent past but he gets to use a gun am i the only one who thinks this is stupid thinking either our policy makers don’t care about us or have a stupid way of thinking
