Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce Names New President

The Sunnyside Chamber of Commerce named a new president last week who will take over from Becky Barker, who has stepped down to focus on her family.

Swain Weiner, who is the president of Greiner Maltz Investment Properties, was voted in by the Board of Directors last week to replace her. The Chamber represents more than 125 members.

Weiner praised the work of Barker and said he was proud of having served the chamber as secretary until now.

Amazon workers at other facilities across the country say they are prepared to join them to protest unfair labor practices after the IBT set a Dec. 15 deadline for Amazon to begin negotiations on a new agreement. The union was ignored.
