Local Officials Reopen P.S. 199 Playground

Community leaders, school officials and children held a ribbon cutting at P.S. 199, marking the reopening of the school’s revamped playground. Councilman Jimmy Van Bramer led the ceremony.

I remember 4 years ago the school asked me and a few other students to design the park. It came out exactly how we planned it!

I hope the janitors at PS 199 stop putting chains on the gates after 6pm, which prevents the community from using the playground.
