A new nail salon opened on Greenpoint Ave on Aug. 22, at the former location of La Hacienda Meat Market.
French Glamour Salon, located at 44-14 Greenpoint Ave, offers manicure & pedicures for $18 and spa pedicures for $30.
Meanwhile, at 43-43 44th Street, a new real estate management firm is expected to move in to the location that was previously rented to Cinco de Mayo Market, a Mexican food retail store. Cinco de Mayo left the spot in February 2010.
Update: The real estate brokerage firm is Quest Realty, which had left its 43rd Ave (43rd and 44th Street) location in March.

Pink Icing, the new bakery, is expected to open late October/early November.
As for the other bakery (Trigo Y Cafe), it was for sale. No word as to whether it ever sold, or whether there is a new owner.
Hi Roxy we are suppose to have a new bakery opening on the noth side of the blvd near the cake supply store right behind the bus stop. there was a story here in early summer about it.
Sunnyside post what is the update with that bakery? any new infor?
Wasn’t the Hispanic bakery (ex-Lowery’s) on Queens Boulevard reported to be closing? It’s still open, with a “B” sanitation rating displayed in the window.
Another nail salon? Good grief!
we must be in the running for most nail salons per-capita, on earth. drug stores are a close second…
congradulation to these new business in our town. especialy the nail salon becuae now with the schools open and in the bid area more business should come their way. the realestate place should be part of the queens blvd business initiative with molly bloom and get more business for our town and better parking on the blvd I wonder how that issue is comiming along.
