Sept. 11, 2009 Staff Report

Who’s ready for a pajama party in Sunnyside tonight? Wet, cold, windy–who cares.  Well, Bar 43, aptly located on 43rd Street between Queens Blvd and 43rd Ave., is holding one starting at 9 p.m.

“GREAT DRINK SPECIALS ALL NIGHT LONG, AND LOTS OF PRIZES ALL NIGHT FOR FUNNIEST, SEXIEST AND BEST OUTFITS…” wrote the owner of Bar 43 on his Face Book page.

While it might seem crazy (and it is!), you still have to take your hat off to these Bar 43 guys for their inventiveness. They are constantly holding theme parties. I’ve seen white, beach and tux parties to name just a few.

Everyone had to wear white. I think it had something to do with the unwritten rule that you don’t wear white after Labor Day.
