Southie, I am glad you got a nice hair cut from a new busiesss but we do have too many of certain types of business in our town. We could use a jean store in our area. abc variety has sales on jeans and everything else. But no competition.
I guess we live in a strange town . Either we have too many of one type or none of what we could use.
Plus plenty of stores vacant with no businees to keep them opened.
Anybody with an answer. Plus of couse greedy landlords that are getting rid of a business that has been here for years. I guess our residence are caught in the middle
I got a really nice haircut in this shop last weekend. I went in to support a new, local small business. I don’t understand the above comments.
There are TOO MANY hair salons in the Woodside/Sunnyside area and almost no decent clothing stores. Sad – I remember Nancy’s and they moved a long time ago.
Those curtained-off premises on 40th Street just south of Queens Boulevard are a mystery no longer. A new sign over the entrance says SUNNY SPA, offering Tuina, Back Rubs, and Qigong. Address is 45-09 40th Street, with phone number of 917-232-3313. I hope that the rates are reasonable!
Sunnyblue and Roxy let’s hope that our neighbors see this web site and are also walking our streets and will give this new business some business the only other salon is on 48th ave and 43st so maybe some good things will happen.
Hair today, gone tomorrow!
Thank Yahweh we have another nail salon!
