Sept. 7, 2017 Staff Report

The cost of parking in New York City is not cheap—and the cost of buying garage space in Sunnyside Gardens is clearly an indicator of that.

A two-car garage has just gone on the market for $150,000 at 43-31 Barnett Avenue, according to a listing on the Multiple Listing Service of Long Island

“Rare Garage In Historic Sunnyside Gardens Area! Don’t Miss This Rare Opportunity To Own A 2 Car Garage! Will Not Last, Priced To Sell! “ reads the ad.

Huh. I’ve been wondering what the going rate on those garages is for a long time, I’ll be interested to see what they actually sell for if the information becomes available. I suspect the owner is being more than a little optimistic in this pricing, and is hoping to get extra bucks for providing two adjacent garages.

It would be super convenient for someone who lives by there to be able to have a car without worrying about finding a space (which can take a long time in that area) or alternate side parking. 75K sounds pretty damn steep for that privilege though.

Neal Milano will sign up to be the head of the board for this, whomever buys it better put some rugs down or else he or she will be fined 5K, payable in small bills to Mr. Milano himself. Oh and don’t let your significant other park his or her car there, that’s another 5K.

Why do you feel the need to involve a family member of his? Not defending the guy but at least leave his daughter out of this.
