The pop-up vintage clothing store under the Sunnyside Arch has closed up shop, ending a short three-month run in the neighborhood.

Violet’s Volition and Bliss, the name of the now-closed boutique on 45-06 46th St., opened late September, and featured curated items like vintage housewares, accessories, and handmade jewelry.

Rebecca Vicars, who also goes by the name Violet, closed the store on Dec. 28.

“Feeling so very full of gratitude and awe as we closed up the Bliss pop up today,” Vicars, 43, wrote on Instagram. “What a beautiful experience it has been to serve the neighborhood of Sunnyside…” she added.

A sign posted at the shop’s window encourages patrons to follow the vintage boutique on social media for new location updates.

Vicars, who has lived in Sunnyside for the past 10 years, has opened several pop-up vintage boutiques over the years, including some in Williamsburg. She hoped at the time of opening the 46th Street pop up that it would pave the way to become a full-time shop.

Vicars was not immediately available to comment on the pop-up’s closure.

The 580-square-foot site was previously occupied by Happy Photo, the custom framing and passport-photo provider.

I loved that store. It was like a little jewel box. Bought some great sweaters, tops, scarves and hats there. And Violet is the nicest women. Wishing her the best and hope she finds another location in Sunnyside.

This store added that ‘personality’ to the Sunnyside community that many locals want to preserve. Not only did it offer original items, it also elevated local businesses by displaying their products. I found gorgeous handmade candles that are never sold in the mainstream stores for example. Best of luck in finding a new location.

They are not renting/renewing leases of the bank, radio shack, this place, and soon I expect the front side of the block facing queens blvd to be torn down and something large built.

Yet that filthy and horrible pet stores remains??!! Either it’s a front for something or they own the building. Those poor animals.

The animals there seem quite happy and many people shop there for pet food and supplies. Pets are very popular and many cannot afford to buy from breeders who will frequently an arm and a leg. I’ve been inside this pet shop many times and have never found it to be filthy or horrible. You sound as if you’re projecting your own misery.

That pet store is charging an arm and a leg for dogs from puppy mills. It’s a disgrace to the neighborhood and should be shut down. Don’t believe me? Try asking the owner for the animals’ papers and see how far you get.

Sorry, Southside Johnny, stores like that almost always source from pretty shady breeders. Also, that store isn’t exactly giving those dogs away. Rescues are a lot A LOT cheaper, and waaaay more ethical.

Thanks for trying though!

It was such a lovely store, run by a lovely lady. We need more stores like this….please not another phone store!

I spoke to her before it closed. It was a short term lease at that location, so its not like the store failed or anything.
