A man stole over $3,000 at gunpoint from a Pizza Hut at a shopping center on Northern Boulevard, according to police.

The incident happened on Nov. 12, when a man went inside the Pizza Hut at 51-02 Northern Blvd., part of the Tower Square Shopping Center, and demanded money while pointing a gun, according to police.

The man then made his way over to the safe and took $3,200 dollars from it. A spokesperson for the NYPD said the robber likely forced an employee to open it.

The manager at the Northern Boulevard site, who did not feel comfortable disclosing his name, declined to comment on the incident, as an investigation is ongoing. An employee who answered a prior call to the locale, however, said all the employees were okay.

The male suspect, described by an NYPD spokesperson as black, is shown in photos released by the department as wearing a red bandana over most of his face, along with a dark colored hat, pants of a light color, and a blue and white jacket.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.

I drove by this Pizza Hut today and it is closed and boarded up. A sign at the door says that the Pizza Hut is closed, and redirects people to the Pizza Hut in either Maspeth or Rego Park.

The police were told not to make an arrest so it doesn’t have a negative impact on diBlasios’ phony crime statisitics.

George – You should at the very least have knowledge or an idea of how something or a process works before you incorporate its mention into your feeble attempt at smearing an unpopular mayor. Police are encouraged to discourage report taking. It’s the taking of the report that generates the statistics for a particular crime. An arrest would generate an arrest report and is the 2nd piece in he equation. Let me guess you’re Fox educated…

Heard Bruno and the Blue T-Shirt kook were thrown out of White Castles the other day after they were warned for panhandling on the premise.

Wow, so a bunch of guys decide some kind of sexual innuendo about kneeling is funny because they can’t spell. The only conclusion anyone can draw from that is you’re all sad, underemployed, poorly endowed, inadequate wannabes who hate women, probably because you’re scared of them. Step away from the computer, take a shower, and step outside. There’s a whole world out there fellas.

Bruno aka: Brunflakster

Bruno, you shouldn’t talk! You couldn’t even hack it as an usher at the old Center Movie Theater. You were educated in Fat Al from Sunnyside’s mothers basement.

George- First it’s “you’re” not “your”. I don’t possess “dishrag”. I will pass through the lighting event upon my return home from work. I can continue your education at that time if you’d like.

Glad your grammar and spelling are up to par Bruno. But you are still a Douche Bag Deluxe.

Pretty god damn stupid when they’re right across the street from a bank to deposit it and besides it’s a delivery take out only place they don’t make $3,000 in a week. Total inside job guarantee you. Was probably a driver or ex manager.
