17-Year-Old From Sunnyside Reported Missing: NYPD

The NYPD is searching for a Sunnyside teen reported missing yesterday.

Kenny Palaguachi, 17, was last seen leaving his home at around 10:40 p.m. on Jan. 11.

Police describe Palaguachi as male, Hispanic, 5’5”, weighing 150 pounds, and with a thin build. He has brown eyes, brown hair, and was last seen wearing a black jacket and black pants.

Anyone with information in regards to the missing person is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.

So this guy is Latino but the Guyanese/Indian guy is Asian? The description is meant to give visual clues not ethnic background, like how we don’t describe a person by the team they follow “black, 6ft tall, 200lbs, mets fan, follows nickleback on twitter, last seen wearing blue jeans” we should stick to describing people by the way they look. Latino? You can say he speaks Spanish and English, with Dominican ancestry.
