Halloween in Sunnyside

The banner for one of Sunnyside’s best festivals was hung up this weekend. The festival, held at Sunnyside Gardens Park,  features local artists, face painters, baked goods, bbq, beers, childrens activities and, of course, pumpkins. It’s on Oct. 10.

Pizza Store by 40th Street Station

This empty store, located at 40th Street and Queens Blvd, was a trendy clothing store before it went out of business at least six months ago.  Contractors are in the midst of turning this small space into a pizzeria. Nice location…right by the 40th street subway.
