This was the first time that Maruf had been rated by Zagat since taking over Bliss in 2007. Bliss was recommended with a Michelin for 2010. Meanwhile, Quaint has been rated by Zagat for a while, although this year it received a particularly high score.

Both of these Sunnyside restaurants are located on Skillman Ave (by 46th Street).

The ratings for Bliss Bistro: Food 21, Decor 20, Service 21, Cost $38

It may be “off the beaten path”, but this Sunnyside gem is right on the money with its “well-prepared” French bistro items, “attentive” service and prices that are a “fraction” of what you’d pay inNew York; P.S. insiders say “dining in the garden is an unforgettable experience.”

The ratings for Quaint: Food 25, Decor 21, Service 25, $35

At this “friendly” neighborhood Sunnysider, the New American cooking “packs a delicious punch” with “local, organic” ingredients and “revelatory specials”; “warm, attentive” service, “cozy” digs that “live up to the name” and a “lovely” garden make for a “relaxing experience.

Other establishments may have also been ranked by Zagat for 2011. Past winners have included: the Turkish Grill, SideTracks and Dazies.
