Sunnyside Gardens Park’s Annual Memorial Day Fair
SUNNYSIDE GARDENS PARK TO HOST ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY FAIR
Sunnyside, NY – Sunnyside Gardens Park to host a Memorial Day Fair on
Saturday, May 25, 2013 from 12 to 5 p.m. (rain date Sunday, May 26).
Kick off your summer at the Sunnyside Gardens’ Park’s Memorial Day Fair. Attendees of all ages, will enjoy Carnival games including Pluck a Duck, Bean Bag Throw, Ring Toss and Goldfish Bowl Ping Pong Ball Toss. Rides will include Bouncy Castles, a 4 Sided Rock Climbing Wall, and an Obstacle Course. There will also be Face Painting, a Kiddie Nail Salon, and a Temporary Tattoo Parlor. Crafts will include Sand Art, Spin Art, Kite Making and Decorating Foam Crowns. Food and drink will be available for purchase, including hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, cotton candy, desserts, soft drinks, wine and beer and more.
World Class Entertainment will include a Dixieland Band, Silly Billy the Clown and a special appearance by Uncle Sam. In addition, a raffle, 50/50 and bingo will be played with a plethora of prizes for the taking. Raffle Winners will be announced at the end of the event.
Admission is free (does not include Rides/Activities/Refreshments)
ABOUT SUNNYSIDE GARDENS PARK
SunnysideGardensPark is a 3-acre park situated in historic SunnysideGardens. Created in 1926 and operated solely by the community and its members, the park remains a place where people of all ages and backgrounds meet, play, socialize, and generate what is most important in any neighborhood: a sense of community.
The Park offers expansive grounds and facilities, which include a grass playing field, running track, clay tennis courts, basketball courts, swing and sand play areas for small children, wading pool, and one of the last remaining picnic groves left in New York City. The park is used for a variety of sports programs for children including T-ball, soccer, basketball, tennis and others.
