Turkish restaurant ‘Grill 43′ opens

A Turkish restaurant, located at 43-02 43rd Ave, held its grand opening on Tuesday.

The restaurant, Grill 43, offers standard Turkish dishes such as lamb doner, cop shish, lamb adana, hummus to kebabs.  It has 15 tables and is open 7 days per week, from 8am to 10 pm.

The restaurant takes over from Habibi, a Lebanese eatery.

Romanzan Ay, the new owner, said he owns 5 restaurants throughout New York City.

  2. I’m actually a little upset the old place is gone. It was the only place around here I could get persian dried limes and pomegranate syrup!

  4. Michael B, I believe you can get pomegranate syrup at the Sunny Market on 46th Street and 43rd Avenue, which is Turkish. Don’t know about the limes, though -

  5. Not to be confused with the excellent Turkish Grill on Queens Blvd or Bar 43 across the street. I’m sure the food here is great but I think they could have chosen a more distinctive name and put up a nicer sign.

  6. this place is packed like its been open for years! Food is amazing but not only that, the menu priced are chopped so much
