Rob McKay joins QEDC
Rob McKay, formerly an editor and reporter for Times Newsweekly, has been hired as Director of Public Relations and Marketing by Executive Director Seth Bornstein of Queens Economic Development Corporation. They met when Bornstein hired him recently to author a booklet on Queens tourism. McKay lives in Sunnyside Gardens with his wife, Sharmeela, and daughters Asha, 9, and Sarika, 7.
Entrepreneur Space, located in walking distance from Sunnyside and Woodside at 36-46 37th Street near Northern Blvd. is an incubator for emerging food-based businesses to launch and grow. The Space was launched officially on January 19 of this year and is one of the success stories of NYC government citywide, and will be one of several programs, including Taste of Queens and Queens Restaurant Week, that McKay will help promote out of QEDC offices at Borough Hall in Kew Gardens.
