New bill aims to prevent pipeline explosions
On Tuesday, February 15th, Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer joined local residents to address concerns about pipeline safety and call for action against negligence that undermines the security of New Yorkers. These incidents have raised concerns on a local level about the thousands of miles of combustible pipelines that transport oil, natural gas and hazardous liquids beneath the streets and homes of New York City.
