Maloney-challenger Reshma Saujani says she is not “pro Wall Street”
Reshma Saujani, who is taking on Carolyn Maloney in the upcoming Democratic primary for the 14th District of NY (which includes parts of Sunnyside), accuses the incumbent of being in bed with Wall Street while she worked on the reform bill to rein in the banking industry.
However, Saujani’s critics are arguing that the hedge fund lawyer’s claims ring hollow - since she has raised funds from the Wall Street crowd for her campaign.
