This place was such a welcome addition to Sunnyside especially on Greenpoint Avenue. Hope they open again in another location!

Sunnyside south of Queens Blvd. gets so little love and attention I was thrilled that Sugar & Joe was situated where it was on Greenpoint and that Skillman wasn’t the only desirable destination for cozy dining and brunching. I hope that S&J, if it reopens, will still consider the ‘other side’ of Sunnyside as a potential home. I loved going there, and I stick out my bottom lip everytime I see its shut doors on my way to Foodtown. Come back, S&J.

daca romanos at skillman and 46th has closed also,and i’m thinking that would be the perfect location for sugar and joes grand reopening,especially since i’m right around the corner.it’s arguably one of the nicest blocks in sunnyside,and would be even nicer with a place like that around.

I agree, its a shame to see such great small businesses close. Hope they find a new place, maybe El Triangolo’s old spot???

this is the type of business that Sunnyside needs more of, unfort that stretch of Greenpoint is too quiet, as the poster mentioned, to support a business that relies on heavy foot traffic.

This restaurant needs to reopen in a better location in Sunnyside (like on Skillman?). It was too good to let it go!! Come back Sugar & Joe, come back!!!!!
