A Small Business in Woodside goes without healthcare
Small business owners are struggling to find affordable healthcare. The New York Post cited one example recently.

The health-insurance crisis is rearing its ugly head in the beauty business.
Many beauticians lack medical coverage, and that’s why President Obama and Congress must do something to make it easier for small businesses to afford health insurance, said Queens beauty salon owner Carmen Ledesma.
Ledesma, 56, has operated the Salon Parisien in Woodside for 15 years. But she can’t afford insurance for herself or her workers.
“I haven’t had health insurance in many years because of the high cost of coverage, and this worries me every day,” she said.
