Woodside Resident Faces Prison

A Woodside resident who punched a flight attendent for asking her to stop smoking - this time faces prison time for assaulting her sister-in-law.

Christina Elizabeth Szele, 35, who was sentenced to 5 years probation in a Denver court following an assault on a JetBlue flight last year, punched her sister-in-law in the head when she recently came back to New York.

This was deemed a violation of her probation. She is being held in custody in Denver and faces up to 20 months in prison.

Szele’s troubles began on the JetBlue flight from New York to San Francisco when she took exception to being asked to stop smoking in her seat. Szele punched the African-American flight attendant and hurled racial slurs at him.

The plane was diverted to Denver International Airport because of the incident.
